What is 402pay?
402pay lets businesses accept card and crypto payments through one checkout and get paid in crypto, straight to a wallet only they control.
402pay is a payment processing platform for businesses that want to accept cards and crypto through one checkout, without handing custody of their revenue to anyone else.
How it works
Your customers pay the way they already do: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or crypto from any wallet or exchange. A card payment is converted to crypto before it reaches you, so every payment, card or crypto, lands in the same place: a self-custody wallet that only your business controls.
There are no balances to withdraw, no payout schedules and no reserves. A payment is yours as soon as its network confirms it.
What you can do with it
- Payment links: hosted checkouts with a fixed price you can share anywhere, no code needed.
- API payments: create a payment for an exact amount from your own systems and send your customer to its checkout.
- A self-custody wallet: see your balances, receive crypto and send funds, signed in your browser.
- Customers: everyone who has paid you or started to, with their totals and your private notes.
- Webhooks: signed events for every change, so your systems hear about payments as they happen.
- Partners: refer other businesses and earn a share of the fees they pay.
Who holds the money
You do. 402pay is non-custodial: your wallet's recovery phrase is created and encrypted in your browser, and we only ever store the encrypted copy and public keys. We can't move, freeze or reverse your funds.
Because we never hold your keys, we can't recover them. Back up your recovery phrase and encryption password before you accept real payments. See your recovery phrase and encryption password.
