Cancel a payment
Stop a payment your server created through the API before any money arrives.
You can cancel a payment your server created through the API, as long as it's still pending or failed, such as when the customer abandons their order.
Cancel it
- Open the payment from Payments.
- Under Created through the API, select Cancel payment.
- Confirm with Cancel payment, or choose Keep it.
A canceled payment shows as Canceled and its checkout stops accepting payments. Your server can do the same with the cancel endpoint.
Payment links
Payments from a link can't be canceled, since each one is a customer's own attempt. To stop a link taking new payments, archive it.
