Webhook deliveries, retries and resends
See every delivery and your server's answer, how failed ones are retried and how to send one again.
Every delivery is recorded under Developers → Webhooks, in Recent deliveries, with the signed request we sent and your server's answer.
Delivery statuses
| Delivered | Your server answered with a 2xx status. |
|---|---|
| Retrying | It didn't, and another attempt is scheduled. |
| Failed | Every attempt failed. Resend it once your server is fixed. |
Retries
A delivery gets 8 attempts in all, spread over about 28 hours and starting a few seconds after the first one fails. Your server has 15 seconds to answer each one.
Answer with a 2xx as soon as you've stored the event, then do the slow work afterwards. Handle each event once, since a retry can deliver one you've already seen.
Resend a delivery
Open a delivery to see each attempt, marked automatic or manual, its headers, payload and the response. Select Resend to send it again now, with a fresh signature.
Not arriving?
Check that the endpoint is turned on, subscribes to the event type and answers over https. The troubleshooting guide covers the rest.
