Create your 402pay account
Sign up with your email and a password or a passkey, then confirm your email with the code we send.
Your account is how you sign in to the dashboard. It takes a couple of minutes, and you can sign up with a password or a passkey.
Sign up with a password
- Go to sign up.
- Enter your email, choose a password and enter it again to confirm.
- Complete the check under the button, then select Continue.
- Enter the 6-digit code we email you. The boxes fill in at once if you paste it.
Password requirements
Your password needs at least 15 characters, with at least 5 different ones. The bars under the field show how strong it is. A long phrase that only you would think of works well.
Sign up with a passkey
A passkey lets you sign in with your fingerprint, face or device PIN instead of a password. It can't be phished, reused or leaked. If your browser supports passkeys, sign-up shows Continue with passkey.
- Select Continue with passkey and enter your email.
- Enter the code we email you.
- Follow your device's prompt to create your passkey.
You can add a password later, or more passkeys for your other devices, in Settings. See signing in.
If the code doesn't arrive
- Check your spam or junk folder.
- 1 minute after the last code, you can ask for a new one on the same page. Each code works for 15 minutes.
- A sign-up waits 24 hours to be confirmed. If you closed the page, sign in with the same email and password in the same browser to pick up where you left off.
Signing up from a referral link
If another business sent you a link to sign up, its referral code comes with you and fills in the Referral code field when you set up your business. You can change or clear it until your wallet is created.
What's next
Once your email is confirmed, the dashboard takes you to set up your business.
